2023 RAM 1500 Bolt Pattern

2023 RAM 1500 driving in residential area

The RAM 1500 bolt pattern for these new pickup trucks typically follows a 6×5.5 pattern, or 6×139.7 using metric units. This means there are six lug nuts that follow a 5.5-inch standard or medium offset. This bolt pattern is most often found on RAM trucks as well as Jeep SUVs

Knowing the RAM 1500 wheel bolt pattern is important for one distinct reason: You’ll need to know that when changing a tire or placing a spare tire on the axle in Boaz, Guntersville, or wherever you drive.

The CDJR of Albertville service team has a guide about the 2023 RAM 1500 bolt pattern to help you answer any questions you have about this aspect of vehicle maintenance.

What Is the 2023 RAM 1500 Bolt Pattern?

Again, the 2023 RAM 1500 bolt pattern for the wheels is 6×5.5. The 5.5-inch offset figure means the center of every other lug nut is 5.5 inches away from each other (which we explain later). All six lug nuts need to be tightened properly to keep the wheel attached to the axle as it turns. And you’ll need to keep all six lug nuts as you change the tire if you ever have a flat on the highway.

When buying new tires or a new spare, you’ll need to find tires with this same lug nut pattern for 2023 models. RAM 1500 models from 2012 to 2018 have a 5×5.5 (or 5×139.7) pattern. These lug nuts are a little closer to the center of the wheel.

Are the 6×139.7 Bolt Pattern &6×5.5 Bolt Pattern the Same?

We get this question a lot from Guntersville drivers. It might be a bit confusing at first, but the 6×139.7 and 6×5.5 bolt patterns are the same. 6×5.5 is the measurement most drivers recognize, as it’s written using the imperial (U.S.) system, but the 6×139.7 measurement is the same size, just converted to the metric system for RAM trucks sold in Canada. In this case, 139.7 stands for millimeters (mm).

How Do You Measure the RAM 1500 Bolt Pattern?

When trying to measure your 2023 RAM 1500 bolt pattern, start from the center of one bolt. Next, measure to the center of the bolt positioned on the opposite side of the starting bolt. Then, measure one lug hole to the lug that’s positioned diagonally across. You should get 5.5 inches for a 6×5.5 bolt pattern.

If you’re still unsure about the 2023 RAM 1500 wheel bolt pattern, the service team at CDJR of Albertville can help you determine the bolt pattern on your specific model. We can tell you which bolt pattern is required for your specific RAM truck when you need new tires or a tire rotation.
